Who (or what) was your biggest influence in motorcycling?
Terry gives full credit to her husband Chuck for getting her involved in motorcycles. His background in dirt biking and desire to get back into motorcycles after they met prompted Terry to join along. All it took was trying out the passenger position on a sportbike and Terry decided she wanted her own bike. “I wasn’t going to sit on the sidelines and be a bystander”. (Good for you Terry!)
Favorite place to ride:
North Carolina. The Cherohala Skyway from North Carolina to Tennessee and Highway 28. “Better than the Gap!”
Most memorable motorcycle adventure:
“On top of a mountain, riding through North Carolina, in a thunderstorm that was so bad you couldn’t see the road in front of you….but we made it!”
Best motorcycle advice or tip learned over the years:
“Go to school!” Terry has attended schools and programs including the MSF and ERC, Keith Code Superbike School, and the Larry Grodsky’s “Staying Safe” motorcycle safety program.
What turns you on the most about motorcycling or why do you like to ride?
“The sense of freedom, a greater awareness of your surroundings and things on the road, and oh yes, speed! (It’s ok to say that Terry!)
Best question that wasn’t asked:
Terry’s question: “What do you get out of the HSTA?”
Terry’s answer: “The opportunity to share the experience of motorcycling with good friends!”
