Current bike:

Years riding:

Joined HSTA:
2003

How did you first hear about the HSTA:
My husband Larry.

First Bike:
Harley Sportster (actually Loretta spelled that “Narley Sportster” or was that a typo?)

Favorite Bike:
My current ride – the SV650.

Who (or what) was your biggest influence in motorcycling?
My husband – he encouraged me to take my first riders class and has continued to be a great coach and mentor.

Favorite place to ride:
Anywhere except the freeways!

Most memorable motorcycle adventure:
My first “long” trip up North in the pouring rain (that’s the Northern Lower Peninsula for you non-Michiganders) – I found out how important really good gear is.

Best motorcycle advice or tip learned over the years:
In my recent “Sport Bike 101” course; when entering a corner “get my head out the window like a dog”.  Thanks to Larry Grodsky for that wonderful visual aid.

What turns you on the most about motorcycling or why do you like to ride?
I love the feel of the bike going through the curves, the sense of being one with the motorcycle, almost like flying, so free.

What do you get out of the HSTA?
A great group of people who love riding, especially riding well and safe, always there with a smile and encouragement.

Hobbies and interests outside of motorcycling:
Reading and weaving.

Best question that wasn’t asked:
Question:  What would make you stop riding?
Answer:   When I can’t get my leg over the seat anymore!
