Years riding:

Joined HSTA:
2000

How did you first hear about the HSTA?
Through HSTA member Don Marriott.  I actually use to work with Don when he first started riding Motorcycles about 20 years ago.  Since then we both left that company and went our separate ways.  About 5 years ago our paths crossed again on a professional level and Don told me about the HSTA.  He suggested that I check them out because they had people that rode closer to my style….let just call it spirited riding.  So I attend one of the monthly breakfasts and signed up.  Been a member ever since.

First Bike:
Honda CB350

Favorite Bike:
Honda VFR 750

Who (or what) was your biggest influence in motorcycling?
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation.(Steve is too humble to also mention that he is a Certified MSF Rider Coach!)

Favorite place to ride:
The West coast of California and Oregon….the redwood forests and the ocean, you just gotta love it.

Most memorable motorcycle adventure:
The road up Dolly Mountain in Virginia.  The road started off paved, then turned to dirt, then dirt with big ruts crossing the road, with dust so bad you couldn’t see the bike in front of you.  After crossing the summit we found the road down wasn’t any better.  Just before leaving the mountain we saw a sign “Off Road Vehicles Only”……we were on Gold Wings!

Best motorcycle advice or tip learned over the years:
Never give up on the turn and when it comes to tires “trust is a must”.

What turns you on the most about motorcycling or why do you like to ride?
It’s as close to flying as you can get without leaving the ground.

What do you get out of the HSTA?
Riding with people that match my riding style.

Best question that wasn’t asked:
Question: “Is that a kit car?”
Answer:  “NO….It’s a 1975 Bricklin.” (Nice ride Steve)
